Dispute Leads to Suicide in Dubrajpur Village, Investigation Underway

A 21-year-old, Satari Leyangi, takes his own life in Dubrajpur village after a dispute with his wife, prompting a police investigation.

SERAIKELA – In a tragic incident in Dubrajpur village, a young man named Satari Leyangi, aged 21, has died by suicide following an altercation with his wife.

The disagreement reportedly stemmed from a decision not to attend a football match on Saturday night, after which the situation escalated.

Leyangi’s wife, having left for her relatives’ home post-dispute, discovered the grim scene upon her return the next morning, leading to immediate alarm.

Neighbors were drawn by the commotion and assisted in lowering the body, which was subsequently transported to Sadar Hospital, where death was confirmed.

Seraikela police, having been alerted, secured the scene and are conducting a thorough inquiry into the circumstances leading to Leyangi’s death.
