In a shocking incident near Rahmatullah Mosque, Mohammad Amjad, 42, was beaten to death with an iron pipe by his elder brother Mohammad Ahmed.
JAMSHEDPUR – A tragic incident unfolded near Rahmatullah Mosque under Kapali OP in Seraikela-Kharsawan district when 42-year-old Mohammad Amjad was brutally beaten to death by his elder brother, Mohammad Ahmed, with an iron pipe.
The violent altercation was reportedly fueled by a long-standing land dispute between the brothers.
On Tuesday, the situation escalated when Amjad plucked jackfruit from his elder brother’s house, enraging Mohammad Ahmed who then attacked his younger brother, resulting in Amjad’s death.
Following the incident, angry residents of the colony retaliated by attacking Mohammad Amjad’s house.
The Kapali OP police quickly responded to the scene, calming the irate residents and taking the family members of the accused into custody for further action.
The incident has left the community in shock and highlights the severe consequences of unresolved familial disputes.
