Tata Steel’s International Mining Conference Kicks Off in Jamshedpur

MBT’24: A Confluence of Global Mining Experts Hosted by Tata Steel

Tata Steel inaugurates the MBT’24 international conference, focusing on advanced mining and beneficiation technologies, with key industry figures and global participation.

JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel has launched the MBT’24, an international conference on Mining and Beneficiation Technology, at Jamshedpur’s Beldih Club.

Collaborating with the Mining Engineers’ Association of India’s Barajamda Chapter, the event marks a significant gathering of industry experts.

Padma Bhushan Dr. V K Saraswat, NITI Aayog member, graced the inauguration as the chief guest.

The conference welcomed Dr. Debashish Bhattacharya, D B Sundara Ramam, P K Tripathi, and Atul Bhatnagar from Tata Steel.

MBT’24 addresses pivotal topics like Mining in the Digital Age, De-carbonization, and Smart Plant Operations, drawing over 200 participants from more than 50 global organizations.

Dr. V K Saraswat praised Tata Steel’s commitment to sustainable mining and Circularity during his inaugural speech.

He emphasized the Indian government’s focus on Carbon Neutrality through advanced technologies.

Tata Steel’s D B Sundara Ramam underlined the conference’s importance in fostering impactful discussions in the mining sector.

The first day witnessed insightful keynote speeches, setting the stage for day two’s technical sessions and panel discussion.

MBT’24 is a comprehensive technical forum featuring 8 Plenary, 10 Key Notes, 37 Technical Paper Presentations, and two panel discussions.

The event also saw the unveiling of a book titled “MBT’24 International Conference on Mining and Beneficiation Technology (MBT) Book of Abstracts” and the inauguration of an exhibition showcasing sector-related technology products.
