Jharkhand CM to Face ED Today as Political Uncertainty Rules

Jharkhand is facing political uncertainty of unprecedented scale with ED all set to interrogate Jharkhand CM. A political crisis is balooning up in the state very fast.

RANCHI – Things are changing very fast in Jharkhand as the state goes through ups and downs with speculations doing rounds everywhere. The ED officials today quizzed the chief minsiter at his residence, even while political crisis deepens very fast.

Jharkhand Mukti Morcha is taking the challenge very seriously and has directed its MLAs to assemble at the Chief Minister’s residence and counter any political crisis that arises in the state.

The security too has been notched up in the state and there is a sense of uncertainty prevailing all around.

The JMM MLA Nalin Soren was seen arriving early at the CM residence indicating the party’s willingness to tackle the political challenge head-on.

The ED interrogation has come in the wake of the 10th summon to the CM from the ED. The summons has only heightened the political crisis in the state and there are speculations that the CM may take some drastic steps.

Government’s Stability under Gaze

Even as the drama continues, the JMM numbers remain comfortable as far as enjoying majority in the assembly is concerned.

Sources hint that even if the chief minister resigns as CM, the ruling coalition is unlikely to face any issue as it would have 44 MLAs with it.

CPI (ML) MLA Vinod Kumar Singh would definitely support the government in the house.

Succession Speculations

There is also a speculation going around regarding the succession in the party. In the event of Hemant Soren resigning, Kalpana Soren, his wife, is likely to be the chief contender for the CM post.

However, her possibilities are being muddied by none else than JMM MLA Sita Soren.

And all these political tugs of war have created a volatile situation in the state as all eyes are fixed on the next step Hemant Soren and his party take.
