In a significant move towards enhancing passenger amenities, a new bio-toilet was inaugurated at Adityapur railway station, marking a leap in the region’s environmental sustainability efforts.
JAMSHEDPUR – The inauguration of a new bio-toilet at Adityapur station marks a significant milestone in the region’s commitment to environmental sustainability and improved passenger amenities.
The Chief Yard Master of Adityapur, Pradeep Kumar, and Senior Section Engineer Sanjay Gupta jointly officiated the opening ceremony.
This initiative is part of the Chakradharpur Rail Division’s broader plan to install bio-toilets at various small stations, prioritizing cleanliness and environmental protection.
Adityapur station’s eco-friendly sanitation facility represents a key step in this extensive cleanliness drive.
The bio-toilet’s operation and maintenance have been outsourced to a specialized private agency, ensuring efficient and sustainable management.
Furthermore, plans are underway to introduce a similar bio-toilet facility near the Burmamines Gate at Tatanagar rail station.
Anjani Rai, the Chief Commercial Inspector of Tatanagar, along with Catering Inspector Rakesh Kumar, were among the dignitaries present at the inauguration.
Several railway employees and RPF officials also attended the event, demonstrating the collective effort behind this ecological initiative.
The introduction of the bio-toilet at Adityapur station and the proposed installation at Tatanagar highlight the railway’s commitment to enhancing passenger comfort while maintaining environmental stewardship.
