Tata Steel Embraces Inclusivity with Historic Transgender Recruitment Initiative

Tata Steel’s groundbreaking initiative to recruit transgender individuals reflects a significant stride towards inclusivity and diversity in the corporate sector.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a landmark move, Tata Steel has announced a recruitment drive specifically for transgender individuals, highlighting the company’s dedication to fostering an inclusive work environment.

This pioneering experiment involves reinstating transgender persons, a first-of-its-kind initiative in the industry.

To be considered, transgender applicants need to meet educational qualifications such as Matriculation English, ITI, Graduation, Diploma Engineering, or BE/B.Tech, and must be born between January 1, 1984, and January 1, 2006.

Training and Selection Process

Selected candidates will undergo a comprehensive one-year training program.

The selection process will include a written examination, an interview, a medical examination, and background verification.

Applicants are required to provide a transgender certificate as part of the application process.

Successful candidates will have the opportunity to work with Tata Steel or its affiliated companies.
