Governor, CM to Hoist Flags in Ranchi, Dumka Amidst Tight Security

Jharkhand is all set to celebrate Republic Day with grandeur, featuring flag hoisting by Governor CP Radhakrishnan in Ranchi and Chief Minister Hemant Soren in Dumka, amid tight security and cultural displays.

RANCHI – Republic Day celebrations are set to unfold across Jharkhand and the nation, with comprehensive preparations completed for the grand event.

Governor CP Radhakrishnan is scheduled to hoist the national flag at Morhabadi ground in Ranchi, while Chief Minister Hemant Soren will perform the flag hoisting in Dumka.

The Chief Minister arrived in Dumka on Thursday, where he received a guard of honor from the administration.

Elaborate security measures have been implemented, ensuring foolproof safety at the venues in Ranchi and Dumka.

The Cabinet Secretariat and Coordination Department have also directed all ministers to hoist the flag at various district headquarters.

SSP has laid out specific guidelines for the event, with extensive police deployment and the use of drone cameras for surveillance.

Additionally, plainclothes police officers will also be positioned strategically around the venues.

The parade will be a key highlight, with soldiers marching to the tune of bands from various police and army units.

These bands, including Army, JAP-1, JAP-10, and Jharkhand Home Defense Vahini Band, are set to captivate attendees with their performances.

Various platoons, including the Army, CRPF, ITBP, CISF, SSB, Orissa Police, Jharkhand Jaguar, JAP-1, JAP-2, JAP-10, IRB-5, Ranchi District Police, Jharkhand Home Guard, and NCC, will participate in the ceremony.

The event will also see various dignitaries hoisting the tricolor across different locations in Jharkhand, including Alamgari Alam in Pakud, Rameshwar Oraon in Lohardaga, Satyanand Bhokta in Chatra, Champai Soren in Seraikela Kharsawan, Joba Manjhi in West Singhbhum, Banna Gupta in East Singhbhum, Badal in Giridih, Mithilesh Kumar Thakur in Garhwa, Hafizul Hasan in Devghar, and Baby Devi in Bokaro.
