Ghatshila’s Sona Devi University Announces PhD Program Enrollment

Sona Devi University in Ghatshila, East Singhbhum, is now accepting applications for its 2023-2024 full-time PhD program, with the entrance exam scheduled for January 31, 2024.

JAMSHEDPUR – Sona Devi University, a rising educational institution in Jharkhand, has announced the commencement of applications for its full-time PhD program for the 2023-2024 academic year.

Located in Ghatshila, East Singhbhum, the university is emerging as a prestigious hub for higher education in the region.

Chancellor Prabhakar Singh has highlighted the diverse range of subjects available for PhD candidates.

These include a wide spectrum of disciplines such as Languages (English, Hindi, Sanskrit, Bengali, Santhali), Social Sciences (History, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Social Work, Political Science, Geography, Education, Home Science, Rural Development), Library and Information Science, and various Science streams (Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Biology, Botany, Computer Science, and Computer Applications), along with Commerce and Management Science.

The last date for the submission of applications is set for 27 January 2024, ensuring interested candidates have ample time to apply.

The university has scheduled the entrance examination for PhD enrollment on 31 January 2024, to be held on the university campus.

Furthermore, the Government of Jharkhand provides a stipend of Rs. 22,500 per month to students who have cleared NET JRF and other similar qualifications.

In addition, Sona Devi University offers scholarships to meritorious researchers, underscoring its commitment to academic excellence and support for students.
