East Plant Basti Residents Appeal for Solution as Rainwater Causes Distress and Damage
In East Plant Basti, Burmamines, rainwater invasion causes extensive difficulties and damage, prompting residents to demand immediate solutions from Tata Steel UISL General Manager, Dhananjay Mishra.
JAMSHEDPUR – On Friday, Tata Steel UISL General Manager, Dhananjay Mishra visited East Plant Basti in Burma, a township hit by significant water logging.
The visit followed a formal complaint made by residents distressed by the frequent influx of rainwater into their homes.
In addition to home flooding, rainwater caused serious damage by infiltrating the power house. This issue has led to significant challenges for the residents and resulted in a significant loss of property.
During Mishra’s visit, residents expressed their major concerns. Blocked drains, deterioration of the main road due to excessive rainwater and drain water, and the urgent need for the installation of paver blocks for improved road conditions were among the key issues highlighted.
The residents stressed the need for immediate and effective measures to prevent drain water from entering their homes, an issue causing considerable inconvenience and distress.
Responding to the concerns raised, Dhananjay Mishra pledged to address these issues promptly. He assured that action would be taken to prevent the erosion of the main road between Sakchi and Burmamines, thereby averting serious accidents.
