Jamshedpur Gears Up for Grand Ram Maha Utsav Celebrations
With only two days left, the Ram Maha Utsav sparks nationwide celebrations, with Jamshedpur and other cities transforming into vibrant hubs of devotion and joy.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Ram Maha Utsav, scheduled for January 22, has infused the entire nation, including Jamshedpur, with fervent excitement and devotion.
Everywhere one looks, the spirit of the festival and the adoration for Lord Ram is evident.
The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has rallied thousands of small and big business organizations for grand preparations.
National Secretary of CAIT, Suresh Sonthalia, credits the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh and Vishwa Hindu Parishad for inspiring this widespread celebration.
Their meeting with CAIT leaders in Jamshedpur kindled the devotion among traders, leading to a nationwide embrace of the festivities.
Sonthalia notes an outpouring of Shri Ram-themed events across the country.
Activities range from Shobha Yatras and Ram Chowkis to Hanuman Chalisa recitations and Ram Samvad programs.
In Jamshedpur, the markets are adorned with Ram flags, and preparations are underway to light up the area on January 22.
The demand for Ram-related items has skyrocketed, with everything from temple models to lockets and flags being sold in large quantities.
The celebrations are also benefiting small artists and confectioners, who are in high demand for various musical programs and Bhandara organizations.
Over 20,000 events are planned nationwide, with more than 2,000 in Jamshedpur alone.
Highlights include the recitation of Shri Sunderkand and live telecasts from Ayodhya Dham.
Sonthalia describes the forthcoming celebrations as transformative, with Jamshedpur set to mirror Ayodhya in its decoration and festive spirit.
He reflects on the grace of Shri Ram in enabling such large-scale celebrations and mentions CAIT’s national campaign "Har Shahar Ayodhya-Ghar Ghar Ayodhya", launched in Delhi.
A newly released song, "Har Saaj Par Ram Baje," has added to the fervor, making Jamshedpur resonate with the praises of Ram.
