Chief Minister Hemant Soren Faces ED Interrogation, Security Tightened
ED officials, escorted by CISF, reach Chief Minister Hemant Soren’s residence for interrogation, with extensive security measures in place amid JMM workers’ protests.
RANCHI – The Enforcement Directorate (ED) team has arrived at the residence of Chief Minister Hemant Soren for interrogation.
Accompanied by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel, the team was escorted amid tight security.
Outside the CM’s residence, Senior Superintendent of Police Chandan Kumar Sinha oversees the comprehensive security arrangements.
The area surrounding Soochana Bhawan in Ranchi saw a significant presence of JMM workers, who displayed black flags to the ED convoy.
These demonstrations underscore the political tension surrounding the interrogation.
Security measures have been intensively implemented, including the deployment of 900 police officers and soldiers.
Barricades have been erected around the ED office and the Chief Minister’s residence to maintain law and order.
This interrogation comes after the ED had previously summoned CM Hemant Soren multiple times.
Despite the ED’s repeated requests and a total of eight summons, Soren had not appeared for questioning until now.
This heightened security presence and the ED’s persistent efforts indicate the seriousness of the investigation involving the Chief Minister.
