Jharkhandvasi Ekta Manch is set to organize a grand Tusu Mela in Bistupur Gopal Maidan, Jamshedpur, promising a day filled with cultural festivities and traditional competitions.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Jharkhandvasi Ekta Manch is gearing up for the grand Tusu Mela, scheduled to take place on Sunday, January 21, at Bistupur Gopal Maidan.
This cultural event, expected to attract hundreds from Jharkhand, West Bengal, and Orissa, celebrates the rich heritage of Jharkhand.
MP Bidyut Baran Mahato and Chief Convenor Aastik Mahato revealed the details of the Tusu Mela at a press conference at Sonari Nirmal Bhawan.
Initiated in 2006 by the late former MP Sunil Mahato, the Tusu Mela has become a much-anticipated annual cultural festival.
Highlights of this year’s event include the traditional Tusu idol competition, rewarding the most splendid Chaudal, and the Budhi Gaadi dance competition, with cash prizes and various honors for participants.
To ensure the safety of attendees, the organizers have coordinated with local law enforcement and will have additional staff to manage the crowds.
Security measures are in place to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.
The festivities will commence at 10 am, with the fairgrounds expected to be vibrant with visitors from various regions.
In addition to main prizes, there will be consolation awards in various categories including Tusu statue, Chaudal, and Budhi Gaadi dance, ensuring a wide recognition of participants’ talents.
