Tata Steel’s New Initiative: Scholarships for Young Sporting Talents among Employees’ Families
Tata Steel has introduced a sports scholarship program for the children of its employees, encouraging young talent in sports with financial support and recognition.
JAMSHEDPUR – Tata Steel has announced a new initiative offering sports scholarships to its employees’ children.
Employees are invited to submit applications for the scholarship via email until January 31.
The Chief Sports department of Tata Steel issued a circular outlining the details of the program.
There are two age categories for applicants: those below 20 years, and a separate category for individuals below 25 years.
Scholarship recipients will receive financial support for 12 months, with amounts varying by category.
Young athletes winning international tournaments or major national medals will receive Rs 10,000 per month.
Those achieving national level medals will be granted Rs 6,000 monthly.
The scholarship aims to foster and recognize young sporting talents within the Tata Steel community.
A five-member review team will assess the applications, ensuring a thorough and fair selection process.
