Jharkhand MPs Take Oath of Office Administered by President Draupadi Murmu
Annapurna Devi, MP from Jharkhand’s Koderma, and Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth have been appointed as Union Ministers in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s cabinet.
RANCHI – Annapurna Devi and Sanjay Seth, both representing Jharkhand, were sworn in as Union Ministers by President Draupadi Murmu on Sunday, June 9.
Annapurna Devi, who has been re-elected to the Lok Sabha, continues to play a vital role in the government.
She had previously served as the Minister of State for Human Resources after her first election win in 2019.
Annapurna Devi took the oath of office following Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
In the Koderma constituency, she won against CPI (ML) candidate Vinod Singh.
Ranchi MP Sanjay Seth has also been promoted to Union Minister.
Seth won the Ranchi seat by a substantial margin of approximately 120,000 votes, defeating Congress candidate Yashaswini Sahay.
BJP leader Sanjeev Vijayvargiya hailed Seth’s appointment as a historic event for Ranchi, attributing the victory to the hard work of party workers during the Lok Sabha elections.
Sanjay Seth’s new ministerial position is seen as recognition of his consistent efforts and is expected to greatly benefit the Ranchi constituency during Prime Minister Modi’s third term.
