VG Gopal Scholarship Applications Open for Tata Steel Employees’ Children

Scholarships available for engineering, PG, diploma, and Plus Two courses; forms accessible from June 14 to July 15.

Applications are now open for the VG Gopal Scholarship for Tata Steel employees’ children, offering annual scholarships for various courses.

JAMSHEDPUR – The VG Gopal Memorial Trust, a collaboration between Tata Steel and Tata Workers Union, has invited applications for the VG Gopal Scholarship.

The scholarship is available for the children of employees, with forms obtainable from the Bistupur Employment Bureau office at Tata Steel’s Jamshedpur plant from June 14 to July 15.

The deadline for submitting the application forms is July 30.

The scholarship provides Rs 12,000 per year for engineering courses, Rs 9,000 per year for postgraduate studies in fields such as engineering, medicine, computer science, business management, personal management, hotel management, and accountancy.

Diploma courses in engineering will receive Rs 9,000 per year, while needy children pursuing Plus Two courses will get Rs 7,200 per year.

A total of 20 children will be awarded the scholarship, including five girls.

Eligibility requires the father’s monthly income to be Rs 78,310 or less.

Additionally, a one-time scholarship is available for courses at RD Tata Technical Institute for those securing the 6th to 10th ranks, as the top five ranks benefit from the Millennium Scholarship.

The initiative aims to support the education of employees’ children, ensuring financial aid for deserving candidates.
