Four-Day Yellow Weather Alert in Jharkhand

Jharkhand Braces for Varied Weather Changes; Yellow Alert Issued

Jharkhand’s weather scene shifts with a yellow alert for varied conditions till January 19, and an expected temperature rise in the next few days, as per the Ranchi Airport weather center.

RANCHI – In a surprising turn of events, the India Meteorological Department’s Ranchi Centre has reported a diverse range of weather patterns across Jharkhand.

Jamshedpur, known for its robust steel industry, has witnessed a mild increase in temperature, reaching a pleasant 27.6°C.

This represents a minor hike of +0.6°C in the past 24 hours, with no sign of rain.

Conversely, Chaibasa, celebrated for its tribal heritage, recorded the region’s peak temperature at a soaring 29.8°C, marking a significant rise of +5.1°C within a day.

Data from various automated weather stations across the region, including Khunti and Bokaro, indicates a mix of warm and cooler temperatures, with a general absence of rainfall.

Ranchi’s specific weather data, focusing on Hinoo and Tatisilwai, highlights a dry and stable climate, with slight variations in temperature but no precipitation.

The current forecast predicts no major rain, suggesting a period of dry weather, although residents should prepare for fluctuating temperatures.

Local inhabitants and visitors are advised to remain hydrated and use sun protection during the day, while also keeping a light jacket for cooler evenings, as the weather continues to be unpredictable.

Unpredictable Weather Ahead

While no significant rainfall is anticipated, the upcoming days in Jharkhand are expected to bring a mix of fog and temperature changes.

Moderate to dense fog is likely in northern parts on January 16 and 17, affecting districts like Garhwa, Palamu, and Hazaribagh.

A similar foggy situation is expected on January 18 and 19 across the state.

Drivers are cautioned to maintain low speeds during foggy conditions for safety.

Temperature Trend and Rain Forecast

No major change in minimum temperatures is predicted in the next 24 hours, but a gradual rise of 3 to 5 degrees Celsius is expected in the following days.

Light rain is possible in southern, central, and northeastern parts on January 17 and 18, impacting districts like Sahibganj, Dumka, and Deoghar.

Precautionary Measures

In light of the varying weather conditions, the public is encouraged to take necessary precautions.

During fog, reduced visibility calls for cautious driving at lower speeds.

As temperatures fluctuate, residents should dress appropriately, carrying light jackets for cooler evenings.

Staying hydrated and using sun protection during warmer daytime hours is also advisable.
