Joint Action Committee Meeting Focuses on Worker Rights and Union Strengthening

In a significant move, the Joint Action Committee meeting chaired by Shri Rakeshwar Pandey discussed enhancing worker welfare and strengthening trade unions in Jharkhand.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Joint Action Committee, led by Chairman Shri Rakeshwar Pandey, convened today at his residence, drawing key officials and general secretaries from various companies under the committee’s umbrella.

This meeting marked a crucial step in advocating for workers’ rights and union empowerment.

Key topics included increasing the fund for the Joint Action Committee and the Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) in Jharkhand.

Deliberations focused on the formation of district and block-level committees to bolster INTUC’s presence and effectiveness.

A major point of discussion was addressing the challenges faced by temporary labor in Jharkhand and improving their access to government facilities.

The committee proposed extending the duration of trade union elections in India from every three years to five years.

Prominent attendees included Union President Rakeshwar Pandey, Vinod Kumar Rai, Secretary of Jharkhand INTUC, and several union leaders like Parvinder Singh Sohal, Manoj Kumar Singh, Sanjay Kumar Singh, KP Tiwari, SK Singh, Sunil Singh, Birbal Singh, Pintu Srivastava, Pankaj Singh, Shrikant Singh, Aman Singh, Dadan Singh, MH Hiramnik, Anjani Kumar, and Amit Sarkar.

Their collective presence underscored the meeting’s importance in shaping the future of labor rights and union activities in the region.
