Dumuhani Sangam Mahotsav 2024 Set to Illuminate Jamshedpur

Grand Ganga Aarti to Highlight Dumuhani Sangam Mahotsav in Jamshedpur

Dumuhani Sangam Mahotsav 2024, a grand celebration, is poised to draw significant participation in Jamshedpur.

JAMSHEDPUR – The Hindu Utsav Committee convened at Goswami Temple in Bistupur, discussing the upcoming Dumuhani Sangam Mahotsav-2024.

Slated for January 13th and 14th at Dumuhani Ghat in Sonari, the event promises grandeur reminiscent of Banaras and Haridwar.

A highlight of the celebration will be the grand Ganga Aarti along the Sangam’s banks.

The first evening, January 13th, will feature a lecture on environmental and river conservation, followed by cultural bhajan performances.

A special recognition ceremony for Jamshedpur’s youth contributing significantly to society and religion is also planned for the same day.

January 14th will see the worship of the river and the much-anticipated Ganga Aarti.

Ravi Prakash Singh, Chairman of the Hindu Utsav Committee, anticipates a turnout surpassing last year’s thousands of attendees.

The committee has been preparing for a month at the venue to accommodate the expected lakhs of devotees.

The event aims to foster a connection between faith and the conservation of the Swarn Rekha River, Jamshedpur’s lifeline.

Concerns about the river’s diminishing water levels and pollution underscore the urgency of raising environmental awareness.

Eleven priests from Banaras, adorned in traditional attire, will perform the 48-minute Ganga Aarti with large lamps and damru.

Efforts to inform the public about the event include organizing meetings in local colonies and assigning responsibilities to the event’s workers.
