JAMSHEDPUR – Stone pelting disrupted Krishna Janmashtami celebrations in Carriage Colony, Babakuti area of Burmamines, injuring five.

The incident occurred Tuesday night during a Handi Fod competition, when members of a particular community allegedly began pelting stones, causing panic among the participants.

Two youths, Lal Sinha and Prashant Sinha, along with three children, sustained injuries in the attack.

DSP (City) Sudhir Kumar, along with Burmamines police, quickly arrived at the scene to control the situation.

“The clash erupted over playing DJ music after the event concluded. We’re investigating to identify the stone-pelters. The situation is now under control,” stated DSP Kumar to the media..

QRT forces were deployed to prevent further escalation of tensions between the two communities.

Police conducted late-night raids in Carriage Colony to apprehend the suspects involved in the stone-pelting incident.

Reports suggest the confrontation began when some individuals objected to DJ music being played after the official event had ended.

Members of the Shri Ram Mandir Boys Committee reached the spot following the incident to assess the situation.

Police have seized tile fragments from the scene as potential evidence in their ongoing investigation.

Authorities have increased security in the area to maintain peace and prevent any further disturbances.
