East Singhbhum District Police’s New Year crackdown targets miscreants, drunken driving, and gambling to ensure public safety
JAMSHEDPUR – East Singhbhum District Police’s comprehensive strategy to secure the New Year celebrations is in full swing.
City SP Mukesh Kumar Lunayat has spearheaded a meticulous plan to scrutinize the charge sheets of miscreants daily from December 29 to January 2.
This initiative is part of a broader campaign to ensure public safety during the festive period.
The crackdown includes foot patrolling in crowded areas starting Saturday, lasting until January 1, to deter criminal activities.
The police also launched a vigorous campaign against drunken driving on Friday night, penalizing those found driving under the influence.
Additionally, the district police’s anti-gambling operations on Friday evening led to the dispersal of youths involved in such activities.
Police efforts to maintain order also involved house raids and questioning of known troublemakers.
City SP Lunayat emphasized the necessity of this plan for maintaining peace and preventing any disruption to the New Year festivities.
