Teenager drowns in Kharkai river near Baroda Ghat

Jamshedpur: In a tragic accident, a 19-year-old youth died due to drowning in Kharkai river near Baroda Ghat under the jurisdiction of Bagbera police station. The deceased was identified as Faiz, a resident of Patnaiya Mohalla, Jugsalai.

The dead body of the deceased was recovered with the help of divers and taken to Sadar Hospital. However, the doctors declared him brought dead.

The deceased was identified as 19-year-old Faiz Hasan, a resident of Patnaiya Mohalla, Jugsalai.

On receiving the information, the relatives of the deceased also reached the spot.

The family was in a state of shock.

On the other hand, the police sent the body for post-mortem.

According to the information, the deceased had reached Baroda Ghat with some of his relatives on Sunday.

Everyone was taking selfies at the place.

Meanwhile, Faiz allegedly jumped into the river to take bath.

He drowned in the river as the water at the site was very deep.

When his friends raised an alarm, people taking bath nearby gathered on the spot. However, by that time he had drowned.

On being informed, the police also reached the site.

A local diver was employed to trace the drowned youth. After some time, with the help of the a diver at a short distance from the site, the young man was taken out and taken to Sadar Hospital.

However, the doctors declared him brought dead.

The police are still investigating the case.
