JAMSHEDPUR – The Kolhan region received its first private mental healthcare facility with the inauguration of Healing Minds Hospital in Telco.

The 12-bed facility marks a significant milestone in regional healthcare. Meanwhile, it will offer both OPD and admission services.

“Mental health issues are rising across age groups,” Dr. Jayanti Simlai, Rinpas Hospital Director, stated.

Growing Mental Healthcare Need

About 60% of Jharkhand’s patients lack access to hospital beds. However, the new facility aims to address this gap.

Furthermore, the hospital will focus on addiction treatment. Meanwhile, experts emphasize the importance of family therapy.

“Family support is crucial in addiction recovery,” a healthcare expert commented.

Enhanced Regional Healthcare

The facility represents Jharkhand’s second private mental hospital. Moreover, it promises round-the-clock expert care.

On the other hand, Sadar Hospital plans a new mental health unit. The development will occur in two phases.

In addition, the unit expects to serve 15 district patients monthly.
