JAMSHEDPUR – Bagbera has seen a spike in theft incidents, with two reported back-to-back, raising concerns among residents.
A wave of thefts hit Bagbera, starting with the theft of a donation box from Hanuman Temple, situated merely 50 meters from the Bagbera police station. Following this, thieves broke into Surendra General Store in Harharguttu on Sunday night, stealing cash and goods.
Temple Targeted Near Police Station
The first incident occurred near the police station, where a donation box was stolen from a Hanuman Temple. Despite its proximity to law enforcement, the culprits remain unidentified.
Grocery Store Robbed Again
Late Sunday night, Surendra General Store in Harharguttu became the second target. Owner Surendra reported that thieves entered through the rear of the shop, stealing cash and other items. This marks the second theft at his store, leaving him frustrated with the recurring losses.
Police Investigation Ongoing
Bagbera police visited the scene and have begun an investigation into both thefts. However, no significant leads have been reported yet. Residents are urging stricter vigilance to curb such crimes.
