37 Get Prosthetic Limbs in Special Assistance Camp in Ranchi
Ranchi: At the Shri Bhagwan Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti in Bariatu, 37 disabled persons were provided with prosthetic limbs.
The chief guest, Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji, provided the disabled individuals hearing aids.
After speaking with them, the MP appeared quite content. She remarked that the job being done by the committee and others connected to it is very admirable. Coming here made her very pleased. She promised that she would want to take part in this admirable endeavor.
Chairman Lalit Kedia and Secretary Nemi Aggarwal of Bhagwan Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti, Ranchi, saw the great happiness of the disabled individuals and said that the organization has so far performed prosthetic limb transplants for twenty lakh disabled persons worldwide. In Jharkhand, almost 6,000 prosthetic limbs have been made available.
At the event, Ratan Lal Aggarwal, a former president of the Lions Club of Ranchi East and current committee member, stated that the work of providing human services is extremely important.
He also mentioned that Bhagwan Mahavir Viklang Sahayata Samiti, a non-profit organization with its headquarters in Jaipur, was founded in 1975 by D. R Mehta completed the task.
The largest organization for the disabled worldwide, it offers prosthetics, callipers, crutches, ambulatory aids including wheelchairs, and other appliances and equipment at no cost to the disabled.
Other attendees were Dr. HK Sahu, Dr. Aishwarya, Lalit Kedia, Nemi Chandra Agarwal, Ratan Lal Agarwal, Rajendra Agarwal, Ashok Agarwal, Nirmal, Pramod Kumar, Ritesh Patwari, Ram Kumar Mahato, Suraj Prasad Nath, Karma Mahato, and others in addition to Mahua Maji.
