Final Rehearsal for Independence Day Parade Concludes; Banna Gupta to Hoist Tricolour at Gopal Maidan
The final rehearsal for the district-level Independence Day parade has been completed; the main ceremony will take place at Gopal Maidan with flag hoisting by Minister Banna Gupta.
The district administration has completed preparations for the Independence Day celebrations at Gopal Maidan, where the main ceremony will be held on August 15, 2024, with Minister Banna Gupta hoisting the national flag.
JAMSHEDPUR – The final rehearsal for the district-level Independence Day parade was successfully conducted at Gopal Maidan.
The main ceremony, scheduled for August 15, will begin at 9:05 AM, with Minister Banna Gupta hoisting the flag.
The parade included contingents from JAP 6, District Police Force (Male/Female), Home Guard, NCC (Boys/Girls), Scout and Guide (Boys/Girls), and St. Mary’s Band Team.
ADM (SOR) Mahendra Kumar and Rural SP Rishabh Garg jointly inspected the final rehearsal, where they also provided several guidelines to ensure the event’s success.
ADM Mahendra Kumar conducted the flag hoisting and saluted the national flag during the rehearsal.
The district administration has directed all Block Development Officers to ensure flag hoisting at all block offices and panchayat secretariats with the cooperation of local panchayat representatives.
On the eve of Independence Day, a cultural program filled with patriotic songs and dances will be held at Town Hall, Sidhgora, featuring performances by students from various government and private schools.
Additionally, a friendly football match between the district administration and the media will be organized at Tinplate Ground on August 15 at 3 PM.
