Jharkhand government undertakes a major reshuffle, transferring 14 IPS officers with significant changes in key police positions across the state.
RANCHI – The Jharkhand government has announced a major reshuffle in its police department, transferring 14 IPS officers, including high-ranking officials.
Prabhat Kumar, formerly SSP of Jamshedpur, has been appointed as the SP of Pakur, replacing Hardeep P Janardhan, who is now the SSP of Dhanbad.
Anurag Gupta, serving as CID DG, takes additional responsibilities as the DG of Anti-Corruption Bureau and ACB.
RK Malik, previously ADG Technical, has been assigned additional duties as ADG of the Jharkhand Armed Police Force.
Murari Lal Meena transitions from ADG Headquarters to ADG of the Jharkhand Energy Development Corporation.
Tadasa Mishra moves from Special Secretary of Home Department to ADG of Railways.
Suman Gupta shifts from ADG of Fire Brigade to ADG Training, while Priya Dubey assumes the role of ADG Fire Department.
T Kandaswamy, previously ADG Railways, is appointed as Special Secretary Home and Prison Department.
Akhilesh Jha, formerly IG Human Rights, is now the IG of South Chhota Nagpur zone.
Sunil Bhaskar transitions from DIG of JAP to DIG of Hazaribagh.
ZAP DIG Patel Mayur Kanhaiyalal, earlier Bokaro DIG, replaces Bhaskar.
Arvind Kumar Singh, former commandant of JAP 6 in Deoghar, becomes SP of Hazaribagh.
The reshuffle also includes promotions of ten IPS officers to DIG rank.
Surendra Kumar Jha, previously ATS SP, is now DIG of Bokaro Range.
Shailendra Kumar Varnwal is promoted to DIG (SIB), Special Branch Ranchi.
YS Ramesh becomes Home Guard DIG.
Karthik S is appointed as Railway DIG.
Manoj Ratan assumes the new role of Special Branch DIG.
Sandhya Rani Mehta is now CID DIG.
Dhananjay Singh is appointed as DIG of the Jungle Warfare School, Netarhat.
Ashwani Kumar Sinha, as the new DIG Wireless, establishes the post.
Naushad Alam takes up the role of DIG Personnel.
