New Year to Bring Rainfall in Several Jharkhand Districts
Rain is forecasted in parts of Jharkhand from the night of January 1st, with widespread showers expected on the 3rd and 4th. A dry, pleasant climate will prevail for the next five days, with temperatures rising slightly.
RANCHI – There have been signs of changing weather amid the ongoing winter season in Jharkhand.
Abhishek Anand, head of the weather center at Ranchi Airport, announced on December 27 the possibility of rain starting the night of January 1 due to an active western disturbance.
This change is expected to affect many districts across the state.
Currently, there has been an increase in the minimum temperature by 2 to 4 degrees Celsius.
Dr. Ramesh Kumar from Birsa Agricultural University reported the minimum temperature in Kanke at 3.5 degrees Celsius and the maximum at 21.4 degrees Celsius on December 27, with a wind speed of 1.4 kilometers per hour.
The weather center at the airport anticipates no major changes in the minimum temperature over the next 5 days.
From December 28 to 31, mornings will likely see fog or mist, with mainly clear skies and dry weather.
Anand stated that light rain will commence on the night of January 1 and continue into January 2, affecting districts like Palamu, Garhwa, Chatra, Koderma, Latehar, and Lohardaga.
The rainfall is expected to intensify on January 3 and 4, with light to moderate showers forecasted in parts of the state, including Ranchi.
This precipitation will lead to a drop in maximum temperatures while slightly raising minimum temperatures.
The weather in Jharkhand has been dry in the last 24 hours, but changes are imminent with the arrival of clouds and the impact of the western disturbance.
Light to moderate rain is anticipated especially in northwestern districts on January 3 and 4, followed by a likely increase in cold temperatures.
