Jharkhand Experiences Scattered Rainfall, More Expected

Yellow Alert Issued for Thunderstorms Across Multiple Districts

Weather patterns bring relief from heat as temperatures dip below 40 degrees in most areas.

RANCHI – Several districts across Jharkhand, including the Kolhan region, experienced varied rainfall on Thursday, ranging from heavy showers to light drizzles.

Jamshedpur and its environs saw a light drizzle, which, while providing some respite from the heat, led to increased humidity levels.

"The mix of rain and humidity has been quite uncomfortable," remarked a local resident. "We’re hoping for more substantial rainfall to cool things down."

Temperature Trends

Daltonganj recorded the day’s highest temperature at 39.8 degrees Celsius.

Jamshedpur saw a maximum of 36.8 degrees, while Ranchi experienced a cooler 33.4 degrees.

Saraikela Kharsawan and West Singhbhum registered 38.1 and 34.4 degrees respectively.

Weather Alert

The Meteorological Department’s Ranchi Center has issued a yellow alert for Friday, warning of potential thunderstorms and rain.

Affected districts may include Garhwa, Palamu, Chatra, Koderma, and several others across the state.

Wind speeds are expected to reach 30 to 40 kilometers per hour.

"We advise residents to stay informed about weather updates and take necessary precautions," a meteorological official stated.

This weather pattern marks a shift from the recent heat wave, bringing potential relief to many areas across Jharkhand.
