Jamshedpur: Agrico Grounds Plight Spurs Civic Action
Delegation Urges Action on Agrico Grounds’ Condition to Deputy Commissioner
Residents express concern over the deteriorating condition of Agrico grounds, impacting health and daily activities.
JAMSHEDPUR – A delegation representing regular users of the Agrico grounds, concerned about their deteriorating condition, approached the office of the Deputy Commissioner and the Sub-Divisional Officer.
The group highlighted the frequent obstruction of the grounds due to continuous weddings and religious events, leading to prolonged unavailability and accumulation of dirt.
A significant issue raised was the disposal of leftover food after such events, which often remains unattended for days, emitting a foul odor and complicating the grounds’ use for walking and playing.
Though the Deputy Commissioner was unavailable, the Sub-Divisional Officer met the delegation, acknowledging the seriousness of the issue and promising to consider their demands.
This visit is not the first attempt to address the situation; previously, various organizations have unsuccessfully demanded a halt to such activities on the grounds.
The delegation included notable members such as Shekhar Sahay, Rajesh Kumar, Amit Sharma, Mahesh Larorkar, Rajeev Choudhary, Jhen Choudhary, Ashok Singh Bam, Vinay Sharma, Shatrughan Prishti, Rahul Chaurasia, and Anup Singh Raja.
