Jharkhand Leaders Honor Late Nirmal Mahato on Birth Anniversary
Union Minister, State Officials Pay Tribute to Martyr Nirmal Mahato in Jamshedpur
Prominent leaders including Union Minister Arjun Munda commemorate the 73rd birth anniversary of martyr Nirmal Mahato in Jamshedpur, pledging to fulfill his vision for Jharkhand.
JAMSHEDPUR – Union Minister Arjun Munda, along with other key figures, paid homage to martyr Nirmal Mahato on his 73rd birth anniversary at his tomb in Kadma Uliyan, Jamshedpur.
State Health Minister Banna Gupta and MP Bidyut Baran Mahato also joined in the tribute.
Throughout the day, various political leaders and public figures, including Ichagarh MLA Savita Mahato, visited Mahato’s Samadhi, with people converging from different areas to honor the memory of the Jharkhand movement’s leading hero.
Arjun Munda spoke about drawing inspiration from Nirmal Mahato’s life and recounted his personal interactions with him.
Munda also paid respects to Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya, former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and Lord Jesus Christ on their birth anniversaries.
Banna Gupta emphasized Nirmal Mahato’s pivotal role in abolishing the Mahajani system and expressed commitment to realizing Mahato’s vision for Jharkhand.
Bidyut Baran Mahato, near the Bistupur Chamaria Guest House, paid respects to Nirmal Mahato’s statue, reiterating the need to build the Jharkhand Mahato dreamt of.
He acknowledged that the goals for which Jharkhand was formed, and for which Mahato sacrificed his life, remain unfulfilled.
Additionally, Mahato honored former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, attributing the realization of a separate Jharkhand state to his efforts.
The state-wide tribute to these eminent personalities reflects a collective remembrance and commitment to their legacies.
