Jharkhand’s Cardiology Conference Brings Together 400+ Experts

Jharkhand Hriday Samagam, a key cardiology conference, unites over 400 specialists, fostering medical advancements and patient care.

RANCHI – In a recent development, the Jharkhand Hriday Samagam, a prominent cardiology conference, concluded in Jamshedpur, marking a significant event in the medical fraternity.

The conference, spanning two days from 22 to 23 December, witnessed the participation of over 400 cardiologists from India and overseas.

This event offered an exceptional platform for doctors, especially cardiologists, to engage in knowledge sharing and discussions about advancements in heart health.

The program included a vital scientific session on the first day, focusing on crucial topics such as Evaluation in Cardiovascular Diseases, Heart Failure, Rhythm Disorder, and Congenital Heart Disease, facilitated through engaging PowerPoint presentations.

Highlighting the importance of local medical facilities, Dr. Kunal Sarkar emphasized the necessity for a heart transplant center in Ranchi, drawing parallels with other metropolitan areas.

He elaborated on the journey of heart transplants from a mere dream to a tangible reality, especially in the context of Jharkhand.

Additionally, the conference presented an opportunity for police personnel to learn life-saving techniques. An expert from Kolkata demonstrated the correct method of administering CPR using a dummy model.

The session underscored the importance of delivering chest compressions at a specific rate and depth, and the technique of providing artificial respiration to a patient after every set of compressions.

Arun Kumar Singh, Development Commissioner cum Additional Chief Secretary, shared his insights, emphasizing the rarity of such gatherings for medical professionals post their studies.

He noted that the event serves as a crucible for idea exchange, fostering new dimensions in medical practice, and ultimately benefitting patients through innovative approaches.
