Tata Steel Hosts Golf Event for Senior Citizens
Senior Citizens Showcase Golf Skills in Tata Steel Fun & Fitness League
Tata Steel’s Sports department recently organized a Golf Putting Competition for senior citizens, highlighting their commitment to promoting sports across all age groups.
JAMSHEDPUR – The JRD Tata Sports Complex was the venue for a special Golf Putting Competition organized by Tata Steel Sports, as part of the Senior Citizen Fun & Fitness League.
Over 30 senior golfers, aged 55 and above, from Jamshedpur, displayed their skills in the event.
Farzaan Herjee, former Chief Sports and Protocol at Tata Steel and Vice President of the Indian Golf Union, graced the event as the Chief Guest.
The competition also saw the presence of notable figures such as Poonam Choudhary, KP Dubey, and Dr. Sudhir Rai, General Manager of Medical Services at Tata Steel.
Participants competed in four different age categories: 55-60 years, 60-65 years, 65-70 years, and 70 years and above, ensuring a fair and enjoyable competition for all.
A special category was also designated for female participants, fostering inclusivity in the event.
This golf competition is part of Tata Steel’s broader initiative to encourage sports and fitness activities among senior citizens, emphasizing the importance of physical activity at all ages.
