Dhankhar Urges Youth to Embrace Economic Nationalism, Innovation in Jamshedpur Speech
In a speech emphasizing the importance of economic nationalism and innovative thinking, Vice President Dhankhar inspired young leaders at XLRI Jamshedpur.
JAMSHEDPUR – On this occasion, additional dignitaries included Professor Sanjay Patro, Dean of Academics at XLRI, Father S. George, Director of XLRI, and State Governor of Jharkhand, Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan.
Shri Jagdeep Dhankhar, the Vice President of India, described Jamshedpur as a city of “innovation and enterprise,” encouraging students to think creatively and harness their full potential.
He stressed the importance of a stress-free mindset in promoting creativity, innovation, and holistic development, which he believes is crucial for success outside the academic realm.
The Vice President also highlighted India’s infrastructural advancements, citing examples like the New Parliament building, Bharat Mandapam, and Yashobhoomi, the Prime Minister Museum.
He underscored the significance of passion and resilience in learning for achieving success, rather than just focusing on academic grades.
Dhankhar emphasized that we are on the cusp of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, spotlighting emerging technologies like AI, machine learning, and green hydrogen, and their transformative potential.
He warned against the detrimental effects of fear of failure on development and growth, urging individuals not to abandon projects out of fear.
Shri Dhankhar spoke about the necessity of instilling a sense of ‘Swadesh’ in students, urging them to adopt economic nationalism in both thought and action.
Finally, he challenged the youth to leave a lasting legacy that honors India’s rich cultural heritage and aspire to be change-makers as the nation progresses towards 2047.
