In a solemn ceremony, Home Minister Amit Shah awards Police Medal for PMG to late BSF jawan Kishan Dubey in Hazaribagh.

JAMSHEDPUR -Home Minister Amit Shah awarded the Police Medal for PMG posthumously to BSF jawan Kishan Dubey on Friday in Hazaribagh.

This event took place during the 59th rising day at the Meru Camp BSF Training Center and School, Hazaribagh district.

Kishan Dubey’s mother received the heroism award on behalf of her late son.

Home Minister Amit Shah commended the sacrifice of Border Guards of India (BSI) personnel, enduring extreme temperatures and conditions.

President Draupadi Murmu had announced the award for Kishan Dubey, a native of Kitadih, on the eve of Independence Day 2023.

Dubey, stationed in the Navgaon sector of Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir, fell to sniper fire from Pakistan’s POK-2 based SSG commandos.

The incident occurred at the FDL post, marking a significant loss for the nation and the BSF community.
