Naxals Trying to Expand Footprint in Jharkhand

Ranchi – The Uttar Pradesh Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) arrested five Naxals—Tara Devi, Lallu Ram, Satya Prakash, Rammurat, and Vinod Sahni—at a secret meeting in Ballia.

A shocking Naxal scheme was revealed by documents obtained from the arrested.

According to papers, Central Committee authorities ordered the detained Naxalites to increase their activities in Uttar Pradesh, particularly in Ballia, Azamgarh, Varanasi, and Chandauli.

A nefarious conspiracy to increase Naxalite influence and CPI-Maoist hegemony over Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Chhattisgarh areas was revealed. Meetings with Naxalites and organization money were in the diary.

The NIA has taken over the case and begun a thorough probe.
Further reports show that CPI Maoist Naxalite Central Committee member Pramod Mishra constituted an adhoc committee. Santosh Verma alias Mantosh, the organization’s secretary in Ballia, recruits men and women in Purvanchal areas, according to the inquiry. Recruits were purportedly trained in the woodlands to turn an anti-government movement into an armed insurrection.

Tara Devi, alias Manju, alias Manisha, an arrested Naxalite, has been active for 18 years. She actively recruited new Naxalite members and rallied support. Tara collected money, taxes, and weapons for the CPI Maoist and Naxalite regime. The disclosure of this complex plot highlights Naxalite menace in the region.
