Innovation in Steel: Jamshedpur Seminar to Explore New Technologies and Asset Management
The Institution of Engineers (India) Jamshedpur Local Centre is set to host a national seminar on innovation and technology in the steel industry.
JAMSHEDPUR – The Institution of Engineers (India) Jamshedpur Local Centre, in collaboration with Tata Steel, is organizing a two-day All India Seminar on November 27-28, 2023, at Shavak Nanavati Technical Institute (SNTI), Jamshedpur.
Focusing on "Innovation & Technology Inclusion in Manufacturing and Asset Management for the Steel Industry," the seminar aims to bridge academia, industry, and government organizations.
ISRO, ADA, top educational institutions like IITs and NITs, and major steel companies including SAIL, Arcelor Mittal, JSW, JSPL, and Vizag Steel, are among the interested parties.
Major OEMs such as ABB, PAMA, Artha Wear Tech, and Parker & Grip Strapping Technologies Pvt Ltd, alongside over 60 vendor partners, will exhibit their products and services.
The event is expected to facilitate cross-learning and help academia in identifying research opportunities and challenges.
Approximately 300 delegates will discuss various challenges, opportunities, and advancements in the steel industry.
A technical exhibition will also be part of the seminar, showcasing the benefits of manufacturing-led growth.
The Institution of Engineers (India), a multidisciplinary professional body established in 1952 in Jamshedpur, represents over 9,100 members across 15 engineering disciplines, providing a global platform for engineering ideas and innovations.
