Train Thief Gang members Arrested from Tatanagar Railway Station
Jamshedpur – Two persons behaving suspiciously have been arrested from Tatanagar station.
Tatanagar Railway Protection Force (RPF) Flying Squad in collaboration with the Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) team on Friday successfully arrested two members of a gang notorious for stealing passenger luggage.
The arrested persons have been identified as Shaikh Akbar Ali, also known as Sheetal Kumar Sao, and Prakash Sahu alias Prakash Aggarwal, residents of Sundergarh, Odisha.
During the arrest, law enforcement recovered several items including a fake Aadhaar card, a money purse, two mobile phones, four empty bags and a satchel bag from the accused.
This operation was conducted as part of a special initiative, Operation Passenger Security, led by RPF ASI Balveer Prasad and his colleagues.
The arrest took place when the RPF team noticed two persons behaving suspiciously on platform number three of Tatanagar station late on Thursday night.
Acting quickly, they surrounded the suspects, took them into custody and began questioning them to gather further information.
