Joint Operation to Curb Naxalite Activities in Kolhan’s Dense Forest Areas
In a decisive security operation on Sunday, forces in Jamshedpur dismantled a Naxalite scheme by recovering and defusing three IEDs. The explosives, each weighing five kilograms, were found in the forested hills near Rengrahatu and Tumbahaka in the Tonto police station’s jurisdiction.
CHAIBASA: Security forces unearthed a major Naxalite plot with the recovery of IEDs intended to target patrols. The devices were safely neutralized in situ.
The operation preempted potential attacks in areas under the Tonto police station, including Rengrahatu and Tumbahaka.
Top Naxalite leaders from the banned CPI Maoist faction have been identified as active in the Kolhan region, including Misir Besra and Anmol.
A comprehensive joint operation will commence on October 10, targeting Naxalite strongholds across various forest borders. Authorities will focus on locations such as Kuita, Maradiri Meralgada, and the Goilkera police station environs.
The operation extends to the remote areas of Husipi and Rajabasa, aiming to dismantle the Naxal network. Security efforts are intensifying in response to the Naxalite threat, with heightened patrols and surveillance.
The successful IED defusal marks a significant stride in combating Naxalite insurgency in the region. Security measures and operations are being escalated to ensure the safety of the local populace against future threats.
