Sewage Treatment Plant in Oriya Basti, Manifit to Elevate Sanitation and Community Health

State-of-the-art 500 KLD sewage treatment facility by Tata Steel UISL opens in Oriya Basti, Manifit, aiming to significantly enhance local hygiene and environmental wellness.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant stride towards improved sanitation and hygiene, Tata Steel’s Urban Infrastructure & Smart Services (UISL) inaugurated a cutting-edge 500 KLD Packaged Sewage Treatment Plant in Oriya Basti, Manifit.

The event saw Mr. Chanakya Chaudhary, Vice President of Corporate Services at Tata Steel, cut the ceremonial ribbon.

Joining him were Capt. Dhananjay Mishra, Senior General Manager of Town O&M and RE, along with other distinguished guests including Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Jha, EIC of Water and Wastewater Services, and Tata Steel’s own Mr. Pranay and Mr. Varun Bajaj, Chiefs of Corporate Services and Town Infrastructure & Logistics respectively.

With the capacity to process half a million liters of sewage daily, the facility aims to significantly uplift the quality of life for residents of Manifit.

A company communique said that this initiative is in line with Tata Steel UISL’s commitment to fostering sustainable and inclusive communities.
