Wildlife Week 2023 at Tata Steel Zoological Park Concludes with a Grand Parade

Fancy Dress Parade Marks the Finale of Wildlife Week Celebrations in Jamshedpur, 520 Students Participate

Wildlife Week at Tata Steel Zoological Park ends on a high note with a Fancy Dress Parade featuring 520 students from 26 schools. Hon. Secretary Cpt. Amitabh and TSZP Director Bipul Chakrabarty grace the occasion.

JAMSHEDPUR – The final day of Wildlife Week Celebrations 2023 at the Tata Steel Zoological Park was nothing short of spectacular.

A Fancy Dress Parade featuring 520 students from 26 different schools marked the concluding event.

The Chief Guest for the program was Cpt. Amitabh, Hon. Secretary of the Tata Steel Zoological Society.

Guest of Honor, Mr. Bipul Chakrabarty, Director of Tata Steel Zoological Park, handed out awards to the winners.

The competition was organized in two categories – Category I for Nursery to L.K.G. and Category II for U.K.G. to STD-I.

Judges for the event were Mrs. Rajni Kaur of NML, KPS, Mrs. Monali Debjani Das of D.P.S., Sakchi, Mrs. Payal Bhatia, a former teacher from Dum Dum Convent, and Dr. Seema Rani, Biologist cum Education Officer at TSZP.

Dr. Seema Rani, who also coordinated the Wildlife Week Celebrations, has played a significant role in the event’s success.

The week-long festivities, which began on October 2nd, featured an array of activities such as On the Spot Painting Competition, Inter School Debate, Zoostorm (an online quiz), and the Fancy Dress Competition.

About 1926 participants from 35 institutions across three different states took part in the week-long celebrations.

The event was also attended by Dy. Director Dr. Manik Palit, Curator Dr. Sanjay Kumar Mahato, and other zoo staff.

Ms. Riya Chakrabarty, Mr. Sayok Sarkar, and Mrs. Iram Khan assisted in making the week a grand success.
