On the Lines of Banaras’ Ganga Ghat, Sun Temple in Jamshedpur Witnesses Grand Maha Aarti; Spectacular Display of Faith
Third Monday of Shravan sees grand Maha Aarti at Sun Temple Chhath Ghat in Jamshedpur, inspired by Banaras’ Ganga Ghat; thousands of devotees participate in the captivating event.
JAMSHEDPUR – On the third Monday of the month of Shravan, Maha Aarti was organized at the Sun Temple Chhath Ghat in Jamshedpur, akin to the famous Ganga Ghat of Banaras.
Thousands of people from nearby areas, including Sidhgora, attended the grand Maha Aarti, mesmerized by the sound of conch, damru, ghant, and the spectacular fireworks.
The grand and divine scene of Maha Aarti amidst the continuous trickling water looked very captivating.
Chief Patron of Sun Temple Committee Raghuvar Das, Patron Chandragupt Singh, MP Vidyut Varan Mahato, and others were mainly present during the Maha Aarti.
Pandits from Jamshedpur and Banaras performed Maha Aarti with Vedic chanting filled with devotion.
The crowd was so large that there was no space left at the Chhath Ghat.
The entire atmosphere was filled with the sound of Mahaarti, elevating everyone’s faith.
The Mahaarti lasted for an hour, and the entire atmosphere reverberated with cheers.
A grand and divine Maha Aarti was performed at the Mahashivalaya in the middle of Chhath Ghat, with devotees entranced by the amazing hue of the burning lamps spread across the entire pond complex amid the sound of conch and spectacular fireworks.
Chief Patron and former Chief Minister Raghuvar Das remarked that the practice of Ganga Maha Aarti is increasing rapidly in the whole country, and it was organized at the holy Chhath Ghat of the Sun Temple to allow the people of Jamshedpur to experience it.
He affirmed that it would be organized in a grand manner every year, with thousands of devotees participating and enjoying the spiritual event.
