Jharkhand Police, SBI Ink MoU for Comprehensive Wage Package

Police in Jharkhand Benefit from Insurance, Rupay Platinum Card, Additional Cover for Dependents of Martyrs

MoU signed between Jharkhand Police and State Bank of India ensures varied benefits for policemen, including personal accident, disability, and more.

RANCHI – A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed for the police wage package between Jharkhand Police and State Bank of India (SBI).

The signatories were IG Budget Dr. Shams Tabrez (DGP Jharkhand) and Devesh Mittal (DGM Ranchi Zonal Office).

The agreement promises policemen various insurance benefits, including personal accident, disability, air accident, dependent child, higher education, and unmarried girl marriage insurance.

Furthermore, they will receive a Rupay Platinum Card from the State Bank of India.

An additional Rs 10 lakh insurance cover will be provided for the dependents of martyrs in Naxal violence or ambushes.

Senior officials said that the comprehensive package symbolizes the state’s commitment to the welfare of its police force, providing financial security and assistance to those serving on the front lines.
