First phase vaccination begins in Jamshedpur too

Jamshedpur: Man is about to conquer yet another virus. The first step has been taken towards the victory as vaccination drive begins in all earnestness all over the country. In a significant development, vaccination against novel coronavirus began with much expectation in Jamshedpur too.

As a mark of success of human fight against odds of existence and intra-species struggle, humans are once again ready to take another victorious step towards subjugation of yet another virus that has claimed more than 1.52 million human lives all over the world.

Soon after PM Narendra Modi’s address over TV, the vaccination process was launched at both MGMCH and TMH.

The Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself launched the world’s biggest vaccination drive.

In the first phase of the drive, around 3 crore health workers of the country would be vaccinated.

In Jamshedpur too, the first phase has begun in which around 200 health workers would be vaccinated on day 1 itself.

The DC Suraj Kumar is himself leading the drive. In Jamshedpur, vaccination centres have been set up at TMH and MGMCH.

The recipients of vaccination would have to go through a 3-step process. First step is registration, which was already completed yesterday. The second step is vaccination. The third step is for observation. Three separate rooms have been set up for these three steps, one for each step.

After the vaccination step, the vaccinated person would have to stay in the observation room and would be allowed to go once the doctors are satisfied that no adversity has been observed.

Vaccination drive has created quite a flutter in the city as it kindles hope among people who have going through hard times for the last several months due to virus-related lockdown and safety measures.

In the second phase of the vaccination drive, 30 crore frontline workers and vulnerable population would be vaccinated.

The date of launching the second phase would be announced later.

The Prime Minister has called the vaccine completely safe and has assured the people that there won’t be any safety related issue with the vaccination.

Those who had arrived for vaccination also listened to the PM’s address attentively at both the vaccination centres.
