Tata Steel Chess India 5th Edition features top Grandmasters; R Praggnanandhaa to lead with $41,500 prize fund.

KOLKATA – Tata Steel Chess India 5th Edition will see R Praggnanandhaa leading the competition.

Tournament dates are August 31–September 9, 2023, and will be held at National Library, Kolkata.

Women’s category features World Champion Wenjun Ju.

Rapid and blitz format for both Open and Women Categories.

Top International and Indian Grandmasters to compete.

Viswanathan Anand to act as ambassador.

Four Indian stars who qualified for FIDE World Cup Quarter Finals will also be present.

$41,500 prize fund for both categories promises a competitive and thrilling event.
