Former MLA Kunal Sarangi Meets Chief Secretary, Pushes for Development

Former MLA Kunal Sarangi meets state Chief Secretary to address pressing issues in Jamshedpur, from road repairs to land clearance.

JAMSHEDPUR – In a significant political move, Former MLA Kunal Sarangi met with the Chief Secretary of the state, armed with a memorandum of demands that encapsulates various village requirements.

At the heart of the discussion were seven issues related to public interest that demand immediate departmental action.

Among them, the delay in the tender process for road construction projects stood out as a glaring inefficiency, accentuated by reports of commission theft that Mr. Sarangi insisted must be investigated.

He also urged for immediate land and forest clearance to pave the way for railway line implementation, a critical infrastructure development.

Further, he highlighted the urgent need for repairing dilapidated roads and initiating a transparent tender process for road repairs.

The illegal occupation of land for an Agricultural Research Center was another concern that underscored the need for an authoritative intervention.

Mr. Sarangi’s request for commercial connections for domestic consumers and a resolution to the mass billing problem resonated with a broader call for administrative responsiveness.

A worrying revelation was the cessation of work on the water supply scheme in Jamshedpur, something that calls for urgent rectification.

Finally, the meeting also shed light on the excessive registration fees for personnel of the 108 ambulance service, emphasizing the need to address grassroots-level challenges.
