Srinath College of Education Hosts John Dewey Workshop
Srinath University’s College of Education in Adityapur hosts a workshop on John Dewey’s contributions to education theory and practice.
JAMSHEDPUR – The one-day workshop on "Contributions of John Dewey towards Theory and Practice of Education" was inaugurated by Sukhdev Mahto, the chancellor of Srinath University, along with Drs. Govind and Gurudev Mahto, the vice chancellor, and Dr. Balabhadra Jena, the principal of Srinath College of Education.
Assistant Professor Ganesh Mahato from the department of education expressed gratitude by delivering the vote of thanks.
The lecture was hosted by Assistant Professors Jayashree Singh and Shweta Kumari.
Students from the B. Ed. and D. El. Ed. departments, along with assistant professors, were in attendance.
Dr. Balabhadra Jena, the principal of Srinath College of Education, stressed that these seminars enhance the career of instructors, adding that students benefit from understanding how to write and present papers, especially in the context of NEP 2020 and John Dewey’s relevant educational philosophy.
During his speech, Dr. Govind Mahato, the vice chancellor, explored the significance of carefully researching topics through seminars to reveal new ideas and perspectives, emphasizing Dewey’s impact on the learning environment.
Srinath College of Education in Adityapur organized the program, and during the workshop, assistant professors and students presented papers on the topic.
