Suspect Arrested in Kapali Assault Case; Victim Receiving Treatment

Kapali resident Sukhdev Oraon’s August 5th assault case sees suspect Mohammed Arshad arrested, victim is now under treatment at TMH.

JAMSHEDPUR – Mohammed Arshad, a resident of Tajnagar in the Kapali OP area, has been detained and imprisoned while revealing the case of the assault on Kapali resident Sukhdev Oraon on August 5 at 9 pm near Damdubi Musal store.

According to Kapali police officer Mohd Zulfikar Ali, a confrontation occurred between Sukhdev Oraon and Mohammed Arshad a month ago about something, during which Mohammed Arshad assaulted and cut Sukhdev Oraon with a sharp knife.

Following the stabbing, the attackers had fled the scene, leaving Sukhdev Oraon wounded, who was then transported to MGM and subsequently TMH, where he is now receiving care.

Sukhdev Oraon was assaulted multiple times with sharp knives on August 5, around 9 o’clock, in the Damdubi neighborhood of Kapali OP.

Sukhdev’s wife, Ambika Oraon, had written to the Kapali OP police to request an investigation into the violent incident, leading to the arrest of the perpetrator.
