Chief Minister Hemant Soren of Jharkhand reaffirms commitment to protecting the rights of the Sikh community of the state and promises no changes to current advantages.
JAMSHEDPUR – Hemant Soren, the Chief Minister of Jharkhand, committed to preserving the rights of the Sikhs in the state, with special reference to the South Bihar Gurudwara constituency, one of the five constituencies for the election of Patna Sahib Management Committee.
The pressing issue was presented to the Chief Minister by a combined delegation led by Former President Satbir Singh Somu and Chairman Jasveer Singh Sirey, emphasizing the historical importance of the Patna Sahib Gurudwara and the committee responsible for the preservation of Guru Gobind Singh Ji’s registered birthplace, in existence since 1955.
The delegation consisted of members from the Central Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and Sanjhi Awaz, highlighting the current challenges and seeking the Chief Minister’s support.
In response, Chief Minister Soren promised that the rights of the Sikh minority in Jharkhand would be upheld at all costs, and current benefits would remain unchanged.
Furthermore, he expressed his intention to work in collaboration with Nitish Kumar, the Chief Minister of Bihar, to find a fair resolution to the existing issue.
