School-Aged APR Nair Athletic Competition Kicks Off, Honoring Late Educator
The APR Nair athletic competition begins in Mango, drawing over 150 young athletes from 9 schools, commemorating late educator APR Nair.
JAMSHEDPUR – Commemorating the late educator APR Nair, the school-aged APR Nair athletic competition commenced at the Mango Kukdudih field on Saturday.
The event’s objective is to foster and promote students’ athletic capabilities while honoring the late APR Nair, an esteemed educator.
The competition aims to provide an opportunity for budding athletes to shine and showcase their skills in the sport.
A host of prominent personalities, including philanthropist Dr. Afroz Shakeel, Tahir Hussain, Zaid Akeel, Ajay Das, Kalicharan Bharti, and Sukhu Hembram, as well as sports instructors from various schools, graced the opening ceremony.
The event attracted over 150 young athletes from nine schools in the Mango area, all keen to display their athletic talents.
Sophia and Nida clinched the second and third positions respectively in the opening biscuit race, with Sadaf Parveen emerging as the winner.
Adding a touch of fun to the inaugural ceremony was a performance by Kaleem Shaikh, known as Giddu Dada, a renowned comedian.
