World Tribal Day Celebration at Gopal Maidan on Aug 9
Adivasi Chhatra Ekta reveals program for World Tribal Day at Gopal Maidan, Jamshedpur, discussing key issues affecting tribal societies.
JAMSHEDPUR – Ahead of the World Tribal Day on August 9, Adivasi Chhatra Ekta conducted a press conference detailing the planned activities at Gopal Maidan in Bistupur.
In honor of World Tribal Day, 193 drums will be played as a form of greeting.
The conference also focused on significant issues within the tribal community in India, which will be further discussed during the World Tribal Day event.
One of the highlights of the program is the demand for declaration of Santali language as the first state language.
In addition, a conversation will take place regarding the inclusion of Mundari,Bhumij and Kurmi languages in the Eighth Schedule of the Constitution.
The Manipur incident and opposition to the UCC law will also be discussed.
The Tribal Student Unity encourages all members of society to come together on this platform and raise the pressing issues facing tribal communities.
